Women’s Ice Hockey Earns Historic First Win Over Manhattanville

HATFIELD, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team held off Manhattanville College, 3-2, as the Knights fought hard for the program's first victory on Friday night. Kelsey Koelzer picked up her first career victory as a head coach.

After Manhattanville battled back to tie the game at two, Brooklyn Hendrickson provided the game-winning score with four minutes remaining in regulation. Drew Kuretsky and Berklee Hibbard also provided goals, while Hannah Bergeron made 44 saves in her season debut with the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arcadia tallied the game's first score with 8:25 left in the opening period. Kuretsky deflected an Ariel Williamson wrist shot to give the Knights an early lead, 1-0. Hannah Bergeron kept the Valiants off the board with a dozen saves in the first stanza.

- The Knights took a two goal advantage with 11:35 left in the second period. Bridgit Terry made a nice play on the boards to keep possession in the offensive zone. Terry then dumped the puck to Morganne Dee, who found a streaking Hibbard for the score. The Valiants got a goal back late in the period to cut their deficit in half before intermission, 2-1.

- Late in the third period, Manhattanville tied the game with a powerplay goal. However, the Knights quickly answered back with a goal from Hendrickson just two minutes later. The Knights forward picked up a loose puck in front of the net and beat the goaltender high for the score.
