GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team met visiting DeSales stride-for-stride in Saturday afternoon's MAC Freedom matchup, but the Bulldogs netted the game-winning goal with 1.9 seconds remaining in regulation to come away with the 10-9 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The two sides were scoreless for the first ten minutes before DeSales opened the scoring with a pair of goals within two minutes of each other, sparking the Knights to even the game at two with a pair of scores within a minute of each other from Akcer and Covert. McAllister followed minutes later to give the Knights their first lead of the day before Covert buried a free position shot in the back of the net to make it four-straight Arcadia scores.
-DeSales battled back with consecutive scores of its own to knot the game at four with a minute remaining in the half, but a
Giovanna Raspanti free position goal with 44 seconds remaining lifted the Knights to a one-goal lead at the half, 5-4.
-Arcadia came out of the break with the same offensive aggressiveness as Michaela Ferlow netted her first goal of the season under two minutes into the half, but the Bulldogs were quick to answer with a pair of consecutive scores of their own to draw even at six. The Knights and Bulldogs alternated scored down the stretch as
Maddie Ruger, McAllister, and Raspanti all found the back of the net as the two sides arrived at a nine-all tie. DeSales came out of their timeout with 30 seconds left in regulation and drew up one final play that came up empty, but Kelsey Pogonyi was able to pick up the loose ball and net the game-winner with 1.9 seconds left on the game clock.
