GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's tennis team dropped its MAC Freedom opener to Stevens Saturday, 1-8.
Emily Cruz-Pineda improved to 3-1 at third singles to start the season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory to lead the Knights.
DOUBLES RESULTS

Tess Weber and
Julia Paraboschi were defeated at first doubles, 2-8.
-Cruz-Pineda and
Casey Boldt fell in the second doubles match, 2-8.
-
Tatum Marino and
Haley Finelli faced a similar fate at third doubles, falling 2-8.
SINGLES RESULTS
-Weber came up short at first singles, falling 1-6, 0-6.
-Paraboschi fought hard in her second singles matchup, dropping a 3-6, 1-6 decision.
-Cruz-Pineda came through with the victory at third in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
-Boldt's fourth singles match proved to be the longest of the afternoon, but came up short in the tiebreaker 3-7.
-Marino dropped her fifth singles matchup, 2-6, 1-6.
-Finelli fell in straight sets at sixth, 0-6, 0-6.
