GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's lacrosse program dropped its non-conference matchup with Alvernia Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field, falling to the Golden Wolves, 17-3.
Skylar Acker, Michaela Ferlow, and
Diana Perry all netted goals for the Knights in the effort, with Perry's marking the first of her career.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The two sides battled tough in the midfield in the opening half, resulting in 26 combined turnovers in the first 30 minutes. The Golden Wolves began to get in a rhythm offensively and took a six-goal lead into halftime.
-Alvernia built on its lead in the beginning stages of the second half, but
Skylar Acker got the Knights on the board with her tenth goal of the season before Michaela Ferlow with a free position goal just over a minute later.
Diana Perry continued the run with her first career goal after taking a nice feed from
Maddie Ruger across the middle to cap the afternoon for Arcadia.
