AMBLER, Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team split the opening two games of the MAC Freedom quarterfinals with Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon. Justin Massielo worked a bases-loaded, walk-off walk in the ninth inning of the opener to claim a double-header split for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- In the third inning, Emilio Pallante singled to centerfield with one out and stole second base to put himself in scoring position. Nick Bon Tempo came through with a single to plate Pallante for the game's first run, 1-0.

- After Wilkes tied things up in the fourth inning, the Knights regained the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom half. Joseph Kumar brought home the first run with a sacrifice flyout, while Trey Obarowski singled to left center to plate one more, 3-1.

- The Colonels tied things up with runs in the sixth and eighth innings, 3-3. Owen Margolis shut down Wilkes in the ninth inning with a 1-2-3 frame to put the Knights in position to walk it off. Pallante and Bon Tempo both worked walks to open the inning and advanced with stolen bases. Connor Cheeseman was then intentionally walked, before Massielo worked a four-pitch, bases-loaded walk to end the game, 4-3.
