GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's basketball team dropped its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opener to FDU-Florham by a 60-59 final inside Alumni Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
Jalen Watkins led all scorers with 26 points while
Dom Vazquez added 12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- FDU-Florham began the game on a 7-0 run before a dunk from Watkins got the Knights on the board.
- Arcadia was unable to cut the deficit closer than four points the remainder of the half as it trailed 32-25 at halftime.
- The Knights began the second half on a 10-4 run to cut the deficit to one at 36-35 with just under five minutes elapsed.
- The Devils led 46-41 with 11:14 on the clock before a 6-0 run gave Arcadia its first lead at 47-46 with 7:05 remaining.
- The Knights led 59-57 before FDU-Florham hit a three-pointer with 1:04 on the clock.
-Arcadia was unable to convert its three shot attempts in the last minute as the buzzer sounded.
