GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's volleyball team dropped its home opener in three sets to No. 10 Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Knights fell to 0-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Rutgers-Newark 25, Arcadia 13:
The Scarlet Raiders jumped out to an early 9-1 lead in the opening set. Rutgers-Newark continued its strong play in the first frame to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Rutgers-Newark 25, Arcadia 20:
The Knights had a strong opening to the middle frame as they jumped out to an 11-8 lead. The Scarlet Raiders won the next three points to tie the match at 11. Arcadia won the next point to retake the lead, but Rutgers-Newark went on a 6-2 run, giving them a 17-14 advantage. Arcadia used a 3-0 run, but the Scarlet Raiders closed on an 8-3 run to win the second set and take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Rutgers-Newark 25, Arcadia 15
Rutgers Newark won the opening two points of the final set and used multiple runs to win the final frame and take the match.
