GLENSIDE - A late 17-6 run proved to be the difference as the Arcadia University men's basketball team fell by a 64-61 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play to Misericordia University inside Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Jalen Watkins led all scorers with 26 points while
Justin Money and
Nas Johnson joined Watkins in double figures.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Misericordia jumped out to an early 15-6 lead through the first four minutes before a 16-6 run gave the Knights a 22-21 lead with 11:08 on the clock.
-Arcadia held a 27-23 lead with seven minutes on the clock but the Cougars led 34-33 going into halftime.
-The Knights led 55-47 with 6:56 left in the game, but Misericordia hit the late run clinched by two free throw, and a Watkins three-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out.

-The Knights won the battle in the paint 38-26.
-Watkins notched his fourth-straight double-double.
-Watkins continues to lead the MAC Freedom in both scoring (18.8 ppg) and rebounding (11.8 rpg) and is the only player averaging a double-double.
-Johnson set a new career-high for rebounds in his first double-double.
-Arcadia had its second-most assists in a game with 15.
