COLMAR, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team rolled past Wilkes, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Hatfield Ice Arena.
The Knights record improved to 9-8-2 with the victory, and 5-7-2 in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) play.
Campbell Torrey and
Haylee Kos both recorded a multi-point game as Torrey scored a goal and added an assist and Kos dished out two assists.
Hannah Bergeron made 12 saves as she picked up her fifth victory of the season.
ARCADIA 4, WILKES 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, Karahkwenhawe White scored the game's first goal to give Arcadia a 1-0 lead. Wilkes tied the game just over two minutes later, but Maeve Hourihan scored 23 seconds later to give the Knights a 2-1 lead. Kos and Torrey assisted on the goal.
- Izzy Gershtein scored her first goal of the year just under four minutes into the first period to extend Arcadia's lead to 3-1. Torrey gave the Knights an insurance goal with less than four minutes left in the final period. Kos tallied the assist on the score.
