WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team fell by a 61-55 final at Wilkes University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play on Saturday afternoon.
Scarlett Glasser-Nehls finished with a game-high 17 points while
Delaney Bell,
Hanna Rhoades, and
Riley O'Hagan all added double-figure scoring outputs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Wilkes began the game on a 5-0 run before a Bell free throw and a three-pointer from Rhoades cut the score to 5-4.
-The Knights were outscored 8-4 the rest of the quarter, trailing 13-8 after ten minutes.
-Arcadia trimmed the deficit to 15-13 before a 9-0 run put Wilkes in front 24-13 with under two minutes until halftime.
-The Knights closed the half on an 9-3 run, entering the break facing a 27-22 score.
-Arcadia used a 9-5 run to start the third to get the score to 32-31 with under five minutes in the quarter.
-The Colonels concluded the third with an 11-3 run, as the Knights faced a 43-34 hill entering the final stanza.
-Wilkes pushed the deficit to 15 at 51-36 before Arcadia began chipping away, going on a 19-5 streak making the score 56-55 with 18 seconds remaining.
-The Colonels were five-of-six from the free throw line to seal the Knights' defeat.
