GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's basketball team weathered a late push to defeat King's College by a 71-69 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play inside Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Dom Vazquez finished with a team-high 19 points, and was joined in double-figures by
Jalen Watkins,
Justin Money, and
Darius Isaac.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights began the contest on a 9-3 forcing King's into an early 30 second timeout.
-Arcadia reached its largest lead of the half at 28-9 with just under eight minutes until halftime.
-The Knights entered the break holding a 41-26 advantage.
-Arcadia built its lead up to 20 at 53-33 with 16:07 on the clock.
-The Monarchs got the lead down to 65-63 with under three minutes left but the Knights hit four of six free throws to secure the victory.
