Women's Ice Hockey's Late Push Falls Just Short Against Worcester State

COLMAR, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team's late push fell just short as it fell to Worcester State, 4-3, in non-conference action on Friday night at Hatfield Ice Arena.
 
Maeve Hourihan, Haylee Kos and Berklee Hibbard all got on the scoresheet for the Knights in the defeat.
 
Jo Coates made 43 saves in goal for Arcadia in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights got on the board first as Hourihan scored on the power play halfway through the first period. Worcester State tied the game at one less than four minutes later with a power play goal of its own.
  • The Lancers scored three times in the second period to take a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.
  • Kos cut the Knights deficit to 4-2 with two minutes left in the third period. Hibbard scored with 20 seconds remaining in the game to get Arcadia within a goal, but it could not find the equalizer in the dying seconds.
