GLENSIDE - Holding a 73-63 lead with seven minutes left, the Arcadia University men's basketball team was outscored 19-7 the rest of the way, falling 82-80 to Stevens Institute of Technology in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play inside Alumni Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia fell to 12-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
-Stevens improved to 16-4 and 7-2, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Stevens began the game on a 14-6 run.
-A 7-0 streak closed the gap to 14-13 with 11:24 remaining.
-Arcadia led 19-16, but a 13-0 stretch put the Ducks back in front 29-19 with 6:40 until halftime.
-The Knights trailed 38-35 going into the break.
-The score was knotted at 42 with 16 minutes left, but a stretch in which Arcadia outscored its opponent 25-14 put the Knights ahead 67-56 with 8:35 on the clock.
-Arcadia held a 76-67 lead with five minutes left but Stevens finished the contest with a 15-4 run.
