GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team topped to non-conference opponent Marymount University 12-8 on Saturday afternoon on Jean Lenox West Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marymount opened the scoring with a goal by Tess Valentino.
- Then
Morganne Dee and
Sarah Morris scored goals within 11 seconds of each other for Arcadia to take its first lead.
- Marymount tied the game at two with 1:15 left in the first quarter.
- The Knights outscored the Saints 3-2 in the second quarter with goals by
Olivia Poley,
Mackenzie Clark, and Dee, giving Arcadia the 5-4 lead at the half.
- Marymount tied the game up with 7:58 left in the third quarter, before the Knights put up three unanswered goals by Morris, Clark and Poley.
- Both teams put up one more goal in the third to head into the final 15 minutes of play with a score of 9-6.

Tessa O'Donnell got herself on the board to start off the fourth quarter, followed by goals from Dee and Clark which were assisted by the other.
- Marymount ended the game's scoring with two more goals to end with a final score of 12-8 Arcadia.

Emily Griffith made six saves to improve to 5-4 on the season.
