AMBLER - The offense continued to sizzle as the Arcadia University baseball team finished off its three-game sweep of Delaware Valley University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play at Skip Wilson Field on Monday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-The Knights improved to 21-10 overall and 11-4 in conference.
-Delaware Valley fell to 10-17 and 2-11, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Delaware Valley opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first.
-Arcadia responded with five runs in the bottom of the first on RBI's from
Matthew Sot,
Solomon Griffith, and
Emilio Pallante.
-After the Aggies crossed the plate on a wild pitch in the top of the second, the Knights added two more runs with the lone RBI coming from
Justin Massielo.
-Delaware Valley cut the lead to 7-3 in the top of the fourth.
-Arcadia responded in a big way in the bottom of the innings, pushing across five runs on a two-run homer from
Anthony Bruno and a three-run bomb off the bat of
Tommy Ajjan,
-Bruno finished the scoring with a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth after
Eli Savitt scored on a wild pitch.
-
Michael McCullagh earned the win, allowing one hit in 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.
