Field Hockey Primed for Success in 2024

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University field hockey team will look to continue its recent run off success when it begins the 2024 season on Friday, the 16th under the tutelage of head coach Erin Livingston.

The Knights advanced to the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom semifinals for the ninth time in the last 11 seasons (excluding 2020) las season, and will return an experienced unit looking to take the next step this season.

"I would say our roster is probably the most experienced I've ever coached," explained Livingston. "This year I feel like I am on a little bit of a vacation because our team knows me so well, and I have coached half of our roster for four years, so they know what to expect."

Arcadia is led up front by NFCA Second Team All-Region IV and First Team All-MAC Freedom selection Morganne Dee, who led the conference with 44 points, was second in goals with 19, and tied for fourth in assists with six a season ago. Returning at forward for the Knights are Charli Rissmiller, MaKenna Fick, and Mackenzie Clark. Newcomers include first-years Ava O'Connor, Dylan Snyder, and Avery Patterson.

In the middle, returners Ashlyn Barton, Katlyn McCorkle, Sam Jacona, Callie Falzone, and Sophia Hathaway will be joined by Kyra Moyer, and Gianna Shirlow.

On the back line, NFCA Second Team All-Region IV and First Team All-MAC Freedom honoree Morgan McEntire returns with Karynne Henry, Sophia Dwyer, Briella Kish, and Grace Vigliotta.

In goal, Anna Doblovosky leads the way after starting 17 contests in her rookie season. Leana Solomon and Madison Kubicz return along with first-year Samantha Thomas in cage for the Knights.

Arcadia begins the 2024 season on Friday when it will travel to Stockton University for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference matchup. MAC Freedom play starts October 12th against Delaware Valley while the MAC Freedom Tournament begins on November 4th.
