YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's and women's swim teams finished competition at the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Sunday, February 16^th. The men finished fifth with 798 points and the women finished sixth with 630 points.

MEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
 - George Wade finished fourth in the 200-yd breaststroke with his fastest time of the season (2:07.71). He also earned sixth place in the 200-yd individual medley with a personal best time of 1:56.56, as well as sixth place in the 100-yd breaststroke with a season best time of 58.37. 

- Matthew Drake finished sixth overall in the 100-yd backstroke with a time of 53.39. He finished seventh in the 50-yd freestyle with a career best time of 21.90. Drake also won the B-final of the 200-yd backstroke with a personal best time of 1:57.20.  

- Adam Smith made the podium in the 500-yd freestyle event with a season best time of 4:56.69, shedding 27.6 seconds from his previous best time this season.  

- Braeden Wolf finished fifth overall in the 1650-yd (mile) freestyle with a lifetime best time of 16:56.84. He dropped 11.95 seconds from his previous best time from the 2024 MAC Championships. He also won the 500-yd freestyle B-final with a lifetime best time of 4:50.10, which was faster than the bottom half of the A-final.  

- Tyler Mui earned a lifetime best time in the 200-yd individual medley by .36 seconds (2:00.65). Mui also recorded a season time of 59.01 for an eighth-place finish in the 100-yd breaststroke. 

- Zachary Horner earned lifetime best times in the 200-yd individual medley (2:00.65), 200-yd freestyle (1:58.45) and 1650-yd freestyle (19:12.52). 

- Mikalai Yakhimchyk earned himself a personal best time of 2:07.50 (prelims) in the 200-yd individual medley. He then went a 2:07.97 in finals. He also swam the 200-yd breaststroke in a personal record time of 2:23.38, dropping 9.52 seconds. 

- AJ Benowitz recorded a lifetime best 400-yd individual medley time of 4:29.34, dropping 3.05 seconds from his previous best time. He also dropped 1.42 seconds off of his career best 200-yd butterfly time for a new best time of 2:06.61.  

- Owen Foley dropped .25 seconds to earn a personal best time in the 100-yd butterfly (54.17).  

- Michael Sanchez recorded a career best 100-yd butterfly time of 57.63. He also earned a lifetime best 200-yd backstroke time of 2:10.24. 

- Thomas Tubinas earned a lifetime best in the 200-yd freestyle with a time of 1:51.92, as well as in the 100-yd freestyle with a time of 50.95. 

- Jordan Green recorded a personal best time by .60 seconds in the 100-yd backstroke (1:00.05).  

- George Mitev earned a lifetime best time of 17:19.40 in the mile. 

- The 200-yd medley relay made up of Drake, Mui, Foley and Wade finished fourth overall with a time of 1:36.20. 

- The 200-yd freestyle relay group of Drake, Mui, Tubinas and Sanchez recorded a time of 1:30.64 for a seventh-place finish.  

- The 400-yd medley relay of Drake, Mui, Foley and Wade finished fifth overall with a time of 3:33.29.  

- Tubinas, Smith, Wade and Wolf recorded a time of 7:21.59 for a fifth-place finish in the 800-yd freestyle relay.  

- The 400-yd freestyle relay of Drake, Mui, Wolf, and Wade finished fifth with a time of 3:15.65. 
 
 
WOMEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
 - Mikayla Scardino earned a bronze medal in the 50-yd freestyle with a time of 24.73. She also earned fifth place in the 100-yd freestyle with a season best time of 54.05. Scardino finished seventh in the 100-yd backstroke (1:00.55). 

- Olivia Hyde recorded a lifetime best time of 5:24.46, dropping 7.51 seconds from her prelims time in the 500-yd freestyle.  

- Gigi Brown swam the 50-yd freestyle in 25.28 seconds for a new career best time by .30. She also won the B-final in the 100-yd freestyle with a lifetime best time of 55.21, dropping .54. 

- Emma Kury recorded a personal best time of 5:17.43 in the 400-yd individual medley and in the 200-yd breaststroke with a time of 2:47.53. 

- Kayleigh Kennedy earned herself a career best time in the 100-yd butterfly after cutting 6.38 seconds (1:02.82).  

- Rylie Pellegrino earned a lifetime best time of 2:09.89 in the 200-yd freestyle. 

- The 200-yd medley relay squad of Scardino, Katherine Pastva, Hyde, and Brown finished sixth overall with a time of 1:53.35.  

- The 200-yd freestyle relay of Scardino, Brown, Brooke Boyd and Kennedy finished seventh overall with a time of 1:42.38.  

- The 400-yd medley relay comprised of Scardino, Pastva Hyde, and Brown earned a fifth-place spot on the podium with a time of 4:11.59.  

- The 800-yd freestyle relay of Hyde, Pastva, Boyd and Kylie Perry recorded a time of 8:17.49 for a sixth-place finish.  

- The 400-yd freestyle relay squad of Boyd, Pastva, Scardino, and Brown earned seventh with a time of 3:44.08.
