O'Connor Scores OT Game Winner in Women's Lacrosse Win Over Hood

FREDERICK, MD – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team beat non-conference opponent Hood College 11-10 in overtime with a game winning goal from Thea O'Conner.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hood got out to an early 3-0 lead, before back-to-back Arcadia goals from Jaylee Killgore and Mackenzie Clark made it a one goal game. 

- Both teams notched one more goal (Gianna DiNofa) in the first 15 minutes of play. 

- The Blazers outscored the Knights 3-1 in the second quarter, with a goal from Killgore, making it 7-4 Hood at halftime. 

- Arcadia scored three unanswered goals by DiNofa, Killgore, and Thea O'Connor to tie the game at seven. 

- Hood found the back of the net with just over a minute left to play in the third, making it 8-7 with 15 minutes left in regulation. 

- The Blazers quickly jumped out to a 10-7 lead at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Knights answered with three goals by Jordyn Chan and Mackenzie Clark (2). 

- Emily Griffith made two big saves at the end of regulation to send the Knights to overtime (OT). 

- Hood grabbed the draw control to start OT, but Clark eventually caused the turnover that led to O'Connor's game winning goal that was assisted by Killgore. 

- Griffith improved to 6-3 with 11 saves on the day.
