DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Arcadia University softball team earned its first Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) sweep of the year on Tuesday, defeating Delaware Valley 3-0 and 5-2 on the road.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia moved to 10-18 overall and 6-4 in conference play.
-Delaware Valley fell to 16-9 and 2-6, respectively.

Taylor Sommer got the Knights on the board in the top of the first when she singled to left scoring
Nathalia DiIanni.
-Sommer increased the lead to 3-0 in the third with a two-run single bringing home DiIanni and
Stephanie Binek.

Dakota Fanelli earned the win, allowing four hits in a complete-game shutout with one strikeout.

Grace Caldwell got Arcadia on the board in the top of the first when she stole third and scored on a throwing error by the catcher.
-Caldwell increased the lead to 2-0 in the second when she singled to right bringing home
Sydney Steiner.
-After the Knights increased the lead to 3-0,
Alexa Kozarski finished the scoring for Arcadia in the fifth with a two-run double to left plating
Caity Hinton and DiIanni.

Paige Nolan earned her fifth win, allowing one unearned run on four hits in seven innings with one walk and four strikeouts.
