GLENSIDE - Arcadia University baseball designated hitter Anthony Bruno has been named Academic All-Area by Philly-SIDA, as announced by the organization.

Bruno earned the distinction after he batted .372 with 70 hits, 22 doubles, five home runs, 38 rbi's, 42 runs scored, 19 walks, and one stolen base. This season, Bruno set a new career-record for RBI's while earning All-Region and First Team All-MAC Freedom honors. 

The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams are selected through voting conducted by the sports information offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
