Jordan Robinson Named Head Men's Volleyball Coach

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Jordan Robinson as the next Head Men's Volleyball Coach. Robinson will begin his duties at Arcadia today.

Robinson comes to Glenside after spending the previous four seasons as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at New Jersey City University. During his tenure, Robinson oversaw the breaking of many streaks, including the first winning season and playoff appearance in over a decade. Robinson coached four All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) selections, while leading the team to a semifinals appearance in the ECAC Tournament.

"I am deeply grateful to the hiring committee for their time, consideration, and the valuable opportunity to lead the men's volleyball program at Arcadia," Robinson said. " It is truly an honor."

Prior to his time at NJCU, Robinson served as an assistant coach at Division II Holy Family, where he helped lead the team to a CACC Championship, two conference finals, and an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. While at Holy Family, Robinson coached four "Of The Year" award winners. Robinson also served as an assistant at Alvernia from 2015 to 2018, leading the team to its first MAC Commonwealth Tournament appearance in program history.

"We are excited to welcome Jordan to the Arcadia Athletics community and look forward to him leading our men's volleyball program back to the levels that it reached a few seasons ago," Associate Vice President of Athletics Brian Granata said. "Throughout the interview process, Jordan impressed us with his vision for our program as well as his deep understanding of the landscape of Division III men's volleyball. We believe that he will hit the ground running."

Robinson brings extensive club and high school experience, serving as an assistant with Top Tier Volleyball Club, while also serving as boy's varsity head coach at Brandywine Heights High School. Robinson played in the Volleyball League of America, where he led the River City Flow to the Central Cup Championship and was named the All-Tournament Libero, while also playing in the National Volleyball Association, Iceland Invitational, and the USAV Nationals in the Open/Pro Division.

"I am incredibly excited to lead the men's volleyball program at Arcadia," Robinson continued. "I believe in the potential here, and I am eager to build on its foundation, cultivate a winning culture, and develop exceptional student-athletes both on-and-off the court."

Robinson graduated from Delaware Valley University with a degree in Pre-Professional Biology in 2015, where he was a three-year member of the men's soccer team. Robinson spent two years at Springfield College, where the men's volleyball team won the 2012 Division III National Championship and finished runner-up in 2011.
