Matthew Chattin '21 begins his first year as Arcadia's Director of Esports in 2025-26.
Chattin returned to Arcadia after spending the last two years as the Director of Esports at Waldorf University. While at Waldorf, Chattin was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Esports program, including recruiting, practice plans, competition scheduling, budget and fundraising management. Chattin coached Waldorf's Overwatch team to a Second Place finish in the NECC Challengers Division while qualifying for the NECC Nationals Challengers Division.
Prior to his time at Waldorf, Chattin was a head coach for the Knights' Esports program from 2021 to 2023, where he assisted with recruiting, competition scheduling, and designed personalized coaching plans. While at Arcadia, Chattin led the Overwatch program to a First and Second Place finish in the NECC Challengers Division, and a Second Place finish in the NECC League of Legends Emergent Division.
Chattin graduated from Arcadia in 2021 with a degree in Psychology. Chattin was an original member of the Knights Esports program which began play in 2019, playing for both the Super Smash Bros Ultimate and League of Legends teams. Chattin served as a team captain during his senior season.
