Brendan Stanton

Brendan Stanton enters his second season with the Knights men's basketball program in 2024-25.

Stanton comes to Glenside after serving as the head boy's varsity coach at Pope John Paul II from 2018-19 to 2022-23. During his tenure, he was named the Pennsylvania sportswriters AAAA Coach of the Year, a two-time Pottstown Mercury All-Area Coach of the Year, while leading the team to a Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship in 2020-21, three appearances in the conference championship game, four PAC Frontier Division Championships, two AAAA District I Championships, and the Final Four of the PIAA State Tournament.

Prior to his time at Pope John Paul II, Stanton served as an assistant at Souderton Area and Perkiomen Valley.

Stanton graduated from Gwynedd Mercy in 2013 with a degree in Psychology, and earned his Master's of Education in 2016. Stanton was a four-year member of the Griffins men's basketball team, where he was a two-time team captain, two-time CSAC Sportsmanship, and a Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area selection.
