Raheem Scott

Raheem Scott recently completed his fourth season as assistant men's basketball coach at Arcadia University in 2016-17. He has helped lead the Knights to three winning seasons and three postseason appearances in his three seasons.

Scott joined the Knights after serving as the top assistant for Head Coach Guy Moore the previous three seasons at West Catholic High School and Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia.

While at West Catholic High School, Scott served as the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach. There, he was responsible for assisting in all aspects of coaching and administering the boy’s basketball program. Scott also served as the director for summer camps, oversaw off-season strength and conditioning and coordinated opponent scouting. Scott began his coaching career in 2009-2010 as the Assistant Varsity Coach at Northeast Catholic High School.

Prior to his coaching career, Scott enjoyed a standout playing career at Division I Coppin State University and Division II Holy Family University. While at Coppin state, Scott was team captain and was a 2nd Team All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference selection in 2004-2005.

Scott transferred to Holy Family University in 2006-2007 for his final year of eligibility. At Holy Family, Scott won several awards including: 2nd Team All-CACC, Herb Good Player of the Year, Philadelphia Small College Basketball-Sam Cozen Player of the Year, Holy Family Men’s Athlete of the Year, Northeast Times Men’s College Basketball Player of the Year and R.L. Vaughan Classic All-tournament Team and MVP.

Scott has worked various basketball camps over the past ten years and is highly regarded among the Philadelphia basketball community. He has been actively involved in the Sonny Hill Community Involvement Basketball League, serving as a Head Coach for the past three summers in the Hank Gathers Memorial College Division.

A Philadelphia native, Scott attended Martin Luther King Jr High School, graduating in 2002 while earning 1st Team All-Public League honors and was a 3rd Team All-City selection. Scott graduated from Holy Family in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Humanities.
