Patrick Carroll

Pat Carroll enters his fourth season as a coach of the Arcadia men's ice hockey team in 2025-26, after serving as the Interim Head Coach in the 2023-24 season.

Originally from Maple Glen, PA, Carroll came to Arcadia after spending the past three seasons as Head Coach at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa., (ACHA DI). In his time at Temple, his key initiatives were to build a strong foundation within the team, increase the geographical reach of the program via recruiting and establish the program as a playoff contender inside the conference to attract quality student athletes. In addition to the administrative activity, Carroll was able to continually improve upon key measures such as goals against, goals for, penalty minutes against and build a challenging out of conference schedule that further grew the reach of the program. Temple advanced to the league playoffs in the second year of Carroll’s tenure.

Prior to Temple, he spent one season as an assistant coach at King’s College in Wilkes Barre, PA (NCAA DIII). The experience and knowledge gained during his time there was invaluable and something that will carry over throughout his coaching career. Prior to his time at King’s, Carroll spent four years at Lehigh University (ACHA DI) as an assistant and eventual Associate Head Coach. Carroll worked primarily with the forwards, power play units, developed line combinations and managed the offensive side of the bench during games. He was also heavily involved with recruiting and organizing prospective player campus visits with current team members.

Carroll played his college hockey at Slippery Rock University in the WPCHA and was named team captain in his sophomore year. He played in over 100 collegiate games during his time there and saw ice time in all situations. He graduated in 1989 with a BA in Communications and a minor in History.

Carroll lives in Quakertown, PA with his wife Jeanne Marie and their two children Dan and Colleen.
