Jacob Farrell

Jacob Farrell, who begins his first season with the Knights’ men’s lacrosse program in 2026, joins Arcadia University’s coaching staff following his hiring by head coach Will Pilat.

Farrell arrives in Glenside following a successful three-year stint as the defensive coordinator at Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia. During his time with the Lions, Farrell helped guide the program to a 35-14 record, including appearances in two USA South Semifinals and one USA South Championship game. Overseeing the defensive unit, he played a key role in establishing three consecutive record-setting seasons for total wins while consistently lowering opponent scoring and increasing turnovers created each year. Farrell also supported the program’s external efforts, promoting the university through social media with an emphasis on growing the Piedmont brand and strengthening the alumni network.

Prior to his work at Piedmont, Farrell spent the 2022 season as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. He assisted with all daily operations alongside the defensive coordinator, created individualized player development plans across multiple positions, and led the program’s faceoff strategy utilizing advanced technology and modern training methods. Farrell also coordinated a variety of special events, including donation drives, training camps, prospect days, and skill-development workshops.

Farrell is a graduate of Susquehanna University, where he was a four-year member of the men’s lacrosse program and helped lead the team to back-to-back Landmark Conference Championships in 2013 and 2014. He earned university and departmental honors and was involved in Phi Mu Delta, Mu Alpha Service Fraternity, and Lambda Pi Eta, while also being named a three-time Landmark Conference Scholar-Athlete from 2012–2014.
