Erin Livingston is entering her fifth season as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Arcadia University in 2015. She is the program’s sixth head coach in the NCAA Division III era of the program, and in just four seasons is the program’s career-victories leader with a record of 47-25 (.653).

The two-time Freedom Conference Coach of the Year (2013, 2014) has coached 14 student-athletes that have earned a total of 22 All-Conference selections, a group that includes the 2013 Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year and the 2014 Freedom Conference Defensive Player of the Year.  She has also coached the program’s only Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Region honorees.

The women’s lacrosse team has also been recognized for its performance in the classroom, receiving the IWLCA Team Academic Award in each of Livingston’s first four seasons, with seven student-athletes being named to the IWLCA Honor Roll. A total of 21 student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Honor Roll a combined 34 times, and the Knights had three MAC Academic All-Conference performers in 2014, the first year of that award program

Livingston inherited a program that won just six games, and in four seasons led the Knights to the 2014 Freedom Conference regular season and tournament championships, and the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Championship Tournament berth.

Arcadia improved its win total in each of Livingston’s first four seasons, and posted its first winning season since 1997 as the Knights went 14-5 in 2013, marking a new program record for wins in a single-season. The Knights finished second in the Freedom Conference with a 5-1 league record, and won their first postseason game since 1996 with a 16-13 Freedom Conference semifinal win over third-seeded Wilkes University before falling to top-seeded FDU-Florham 15-10 in the Freedom Conference title game. Dawn Faranetta was named the 2013 Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year, and was among seven All-Freedom Conference selections.

Arcadia won a school-record 18 games in 2014, suffering just one regular season-loss while winning a school-record 11 consecutive games and recording a perfect 6-0 record in the Freedom Conference. The Knights went on to defeat fourth-seeded FDU-Florham 11-8 in the Freedom Conference semifinals before posting a 17-13 victory over second-seeded Wilkes in the Freedom Conference title game. It was the third conference championship in program history, and the first since 1996. Jenna Crothers was named Freedom Conference Tournament MVP and became the program’s first-ever ECAC All-Star selection, while Jordyn Dunacusky was named the Freedom Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was named the program’s first-ever IWLCA All-Region selection, earning second-team honors. Both were among the Knights nine All-Freedom Conference selections.

Livingston will also be entering her sixth season as Head Field Hockey Coach this coming academic year. She has guided that program to an overall record of 49-47 (.510) through her first five seasons with that program. Livingston was named the 2012 Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year after the Knights posted an overall record of 15-6, setting a school-record for wins in a single-season, and tying for fourth in the league standings at 4-4. Arcadia won a 6-2 first-round game against fifth-seeded Stevenson University before falling at top-seeded Messiah College 3-1 in the Commonwealth Conference semifinals. The Knights went 14-7 in 2013, finished third in the conference standings at 6-2, and qualified for the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship for the first time in program history. She also holds additional responsibilities within Arcadia’s athletic department as the Senior Woman Administrator.

Prior to joining Arcadia, Livingston served as a graduate assistant for field hockey at Kean University. She helped to guide the Cougars to a 36-18 overall mark, including a record-breaking 17-win season in 2008 that included winning the ECAC Mid-Atlantic title. Livingston also served as an assistant with Kean’s softball (2009) and women’s lacrosse (2006) programs. She served as the head softball coach at NCAA Division II Holy Family University in 2010, leading the Tigers to an overall record of 24-23 that included an 18-9 record in conference play, and served as assistant softball coach during 2005 campaign at Philadelphia University.

Livingston was a member of the field hockey and softball teams at NCAA Division II Kutztown University. A three-year starter on defense for the field hockey team, she holds the Golden Bears’ career record for defensive saves with 23 and was twice named a NFHCA All-American, earning First-Team honors in 2004 after being named a Second-Team selection in 2003. Livingston excelled off the field as well, being named to the NFHCA All-Academic Squad in 2003 and in 2005 being named Kutztown’s Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Livingston earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in coaching and mathematics from Kutztown in 2005 and earned her master’s degree in counseling from Kean in 2009.
