Kelly Bushe is entering her first season as assistant women's soccer coach at Arcadia University in 2015.
Bushe comes to Arcadia after two seasons at MAC Freedom member DeSales University, where she assisted in all facets of the Bulldogs’ program, including practice planning, scouting, team travel arrangements and fundraising. DeSales had a total of seven All-MAC Freedom selections, including three First-Team honorees.
Bushe helped lead DeSales to a record of 17-15-7 in her two seasons on the sideline, including a 10-7-4 record in 2014. The Bulldogs advanced to the MAC Freedom title game and were selected for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) regional championship tournament.
Bushe spent the 2012 season on the coaching staff at The College of New Jersey, which went 15-2-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Lions had six All-Conference selections that season, including the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive and Midfield Player of the Year recipients and two All-Americans. She has additionally served as an assistant coach with New Jersey Youth Soccer’s ODP U17 team since 2013.
The Neptune, New Jersey native was a four-year letter winner and two-year team captain of the women’s soccer team at NCAA Division II Kutztown University. Bushe started in 68 of her 75 career games on defense for the Golden Bears, totaling nine goals and two assists for 20 career points while twice earning PSAC Scholar Athlete honors. She led Kutztown to NCAA Division II Championship Tournament appearances her junior and senior seasons, which also saw the Golden Bears finish with a top-25 national ranking in the final NSCAA Coaches’ Poll.
Bushe completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kutztown in 2011 before earning her master’s degree in criminal justice at DeSales in 2015.
