Women’s Tennis Falls to Bryn Mawr in Final Fall Dual, 6-3

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team fell to 3-3 for the season after dropping a 6-3 non-conference decision to visiting Bryn Mawr College Tuesday afternoon at Weiss Courts. The Owls improved to 3-1 with the win.

The Knights trailed 2-1 following doubles play, with the lone win coming at third doubles as juniors Danielle Riggins (Dorchester, N.J.) and Viola Sawyer (Glen Cove, N.Y.) posted an 8-0 win over sophomores Kendall Baller (Webster, N.Y.) and Molly MacDougal (New Tripoli, Pa.).

Freshman Emily Delp (Harleysville, Pa.) earned a 7-5, 6-2 win over Baller at fourth-singles, while sophomore Alexandria Broome (South Euclid, Ohio) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over fellow sophomore Tirsa Delate (Tannersville, Pa.) at sixth-singles.

This marked the final dual match of the fall portion of the schedule for Arcadia, which will next compete at the MAC Individual Championships October 5-6, which will be co-hosted by King's College and Wilkes University. For more information on the 2013 MAC Individual Championships CLICK HERE.
