GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team dropped a Commonwealth Conference match to visiting Messiah College Tuesday evening at Alumni Gymnasium, 3-0 (9-25, 10-25, 20-25). With the loss, the Knights drop to 12-6 overall on the year and 2-4 in conference matches, while the Falcons improve to 21-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
Despite the loss, senior outside hitter
Natalie Cadmus continued her climb in the Arcadia record book for single season kills and career kills. With her team-high six kills in the match, she is now at 243 for the season, moving her up to fifth on the single season kills list. She also moved up to the eighth spot on the career kills list, having recorded 451 kills now for her career.
Sophomore setter
Alexia Bell led the Knights in assists with 15 to go along with seven digs, while freshman libero
Sami Evans chipped in with a team-high 15 digs.
For Messiah, sophomore defensive specialist Emily Buckwalter led the team with seven kills to complement four aces, while hitting at a .429 clip for the match.
Sophomore outside hitter Kristen Douglas also had seven kills to go along with six digs, while hitting .333, and sophomore setter Brooke Gallagher dished out a match-high 20 assists to go along with recording three aces.
The Knights will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host visiting Misericordia for a 1 p.m. non-conference match at Alumni Gymnasium.
