GLENSIDE, Pa.- The Arcadia University men's basketball team suffered their first loss in Commonwealth Conference play on Saturday evening against visiting Stevenson University, 86-80. The Knights fell to 4-4 (2-1 CC), while the Mustangs improved to 6-2 (1-0 CC). Arcadia struggled at the free-throw line, going 21-39.
The Knights were led by senior forward/center
Jose Figueroa, who had 21 points and nine rebounds, shooting 70 percent (7-10) from the field. Senior guard
Travis Saltus scored 13 points, but was in foul trouble the entire game, playing only 17 minutes before fouling out.

Joe Brown contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while senior guard
Torrell Candelaria added 11 points. Both junior guard

Sean Mayberry added 10 points each, with Mayberry also contributing four rebounds.
Stevenson was led by sophomore guard Darius Walker's 30 points on 11-18 shooting from the field, with nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Junior forward Erik Fisher contributed 17 points and five rebounds, while junior guard Christian Roberts added 15 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Arcadia will continue its five-game home stand on Saturday when it hosts the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University for a non-conference game at 3 p.m.
