Molloy’s Six Goals Lead Women’s Lacrosse Team to 15-8 Win Over Kean

Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – Junior Haylee Molloy (Holtsville, N.Y.) scored a game-high six goals as the Arcadia University women's lacrosse team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 15-8 non-conference victory over visiting Kean University Tuesday afternoon at Easton Field. The Knights improved to 8-1 with the victory, while the Cougars fell to 5-3.
 
Arcadia opened the game with an 8-1 run before settling for a 10-5 lead at the half after Kean scored four of the final six goals in the last five minutes of the opening frame.
 
Senior Ciara Mastrodomenico (Blairstown. N.J.) scored twice in the first five and a half minutes of the second half to pull the Cougars back within three, but the Knights settled down and scored five of the last six goals in the game to secure the win.
 
Freshman Erin Misner (Westhampton, N.J.) scored four goals with two caused turnovers and three draw controls for Arcadia, while sophomore Dawn Faranetta (Randolph, N.J.) added three goals with one assist. Senior Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, N.Y.) netted one goal and assisted on three others. Sophomore Jordyn Dunacusky (Conshohocken, Pa.) tallied eight saves to improve her record to 8-0 for the season.
 
Sophomores Jordan Blanda (Neptune, N.J.) and Samantha Gnapp (Old Bridge, N.J.), Mastrodomenico scored two goals each for Kean. Blanda also notched three draw controls in the game. Sophomore Danielle Wagenti (Wayne, N.J.) took the loss after allowing seven goals with just two saves in 19:38, while junior Sharell Lowe (West Windsor, N.J.) gave up eight goals with three stops in 40:22.
 
The Knights outshot the Cougars 26-22, had a 23-17 advantage in ground balls, while Kean had a 13-11 advantage in draw controls.
