Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team opened the game with a nine-goal run and never looked back as it cruised to a 19-3 Freedom Conference victory over visiting Wilkes University Saturday afternoon at Easton Field.
 
The Knights improved to 13-1 overall and 3-0 in the Freedom Conference with their sixth consecutive win, while the Colonels fell to 9-2 overall and 2-2 in in conference play with their second straight loss.
 
Arcaida scored three times in the opening three and a half minutes, prompting Wilkes to call a timeout to try and regroup, but the Knights scored the next six goals coming out of the huddle to pull away, opening a 9-0 advantage on freshman Erin Misner's (Westhampton, N.J.) first goal of the game.
 
Junior Haylee Molloy (Holtsville, N.Y.) scored a season-high eight goals and assisted on another to lead Arcadia to the win. Senior Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, N.Y.) scored one goal and handed out five assists, raising her career-record assist total to 92. Her 56 assists so far this season are also a school record.
 
Senior Sara Volk-Perez (Mays Landing, N.J.) and Misner finished with two goals and two assists each for the Knights. Volk-Perez also had a game-high seven draw controls. Sophomore Adeline Bellesheim (Sparta, N.J.) had a season-high three goals for the season time in as many games.
 
Senior Gabby Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) finally got Wilkes on the board with 9:29 left in the first half. Sophomore Madeline Brownsey (Glenside, Pa.) and junior Carley Smith (York, Pa.) added one goal each for the Colonels.
 
Sophomore Jordyn Dunacusky (Conshohocken, Pa.) totaled nine saves to improve her record to 13-0 in net for Arcadia. Freshman Morgan Galluzzo (New London, N.H.) had 10 saves in taking the loss for the Colonels, dropping her record to 9-2.
 
The Knights outshot Wilkes 36-20, had a 25-16 advantage in ground balls and held a 13-11 edge in draw controls.
 
Arcadia will be back in action Thursday when it hosts a 4 p.m. Freedom Conference match against Misericordia University at Easton Field.
