Women’s Lacrosse Team Dominates Lycoming, 18-3

Box Score GLENDSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team exploded for 12 field-half goals on its way to an 18-3 non-conference victory over Lycoming College Monday night at Easton Field. The Knights improved to 11-1 for the season with their fourth straight win, while the Warriors fell to 5-8 with the loss.
 
Senior Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, N.Y.) netted two goals with a game-high four assists for a game-high six points to lead Arcadia to the win. Her career-record assist total now stands at 82, and she moved into third on the career points lost with 169, surpassing Kate Allen's 168 career points that were accumulated from 1995-98.
 
Junior Haylee Molloy (Holtsville, N.Y.) and freshman Erin Misner (Westhampton, N.J.) scored four goals each for Arcadia, while junior Catherine Brown (Howell, N.J.) found the back of the net three times. Junior Jaclyn Feffer (Montgomery, N.Y.) and sophomore Dawn Faranetta (Randolph, N.J.) each scored two goals with two assists. Senior Sara Volk-Perez (Mays Landing, N.J.) had one goal to round out the scoring for the Knights.
 
Arcadia opened the game with a five goal run and never looked back on its way to taking a 12-1 lead at the half. Junior Erin Cieniewicz (Shillington, Pa.) scored the lone first half goal for Lycoming midway through the period, which was the first of her two goals in the contest. Senior Sarah Quigley (New City, N.Y.) opened the second half scoring for the Warriors just 31 seconds in the frame.
 
Sophomore Jordyn Dunacusky (Conshohocken, Pa.) tallied six saves as she improved to 11-0 in net for Arcadia this season, and dished out her first career assist when throw a pass some 40 yards to spring Feffer for a breakaway goal with 12 minutes left in the first half.
 
The Knights outshot Lycoming 24-15, had a 12-9 edge in ground balls, and held a 12-10 margin in draw controls.
 
Arcadia will next travel to Eastern University Wednesday for a 4 p.m. Freedom Conference contest.
