READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team evened its Commonwealth Conference record at 2-2 after recording a 3-1 (25-11, 25-20, 20-25, 25-16) victory at Albright College Tuesday night. The Knights improved to 8-4 overall, while the host Lions fell to 5-12 for the season and 1-3 in conference play.
Senior outside hitter
Natalie Cadmus notched a match-high 17 kills to go with seven digs and a match-best five service aces to lead Arcadia, while sophomore outside/middle hitter
Makenna Micklus added eight kills. Freshman middle hitter
Colleen Stengel put down seven kills with three digs, and senior
Taylor Hoover added six kills with four digs.
Sophomore setter
Alexia Bell registered 37 assists with 17 digs and a pair of service aces. Freshman libero
Sami Evans tallied a match-high 22 digs and also had a pair of service aces.
Freshman outside hitter Kellie Hill hit .450 with nine kills and no errors in 20 swings to lead Albright, while senior outside hitter Brandy Blimline added eight kills with 12 digs. Freshman setter Claudia Guise had 23 assists with seven digs, while sophomore libero Caitlin Klotzbach registered a team-best 17 digs.
The Knights will be back in action Saturday when they host a four-team Middle Atlantic Conference Crossover that will also feature Commonwealth Conference rival Hood College and Freedom Conference members King's College (Pa.) and Manhattanville College. Arcadia will take on King's at 11 a.m. and Manhattanville at 5 p.m.
