WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-8 decision at Lycoming Saturday afternoon. The Knights fell to 5-5 on the season and 0-3 in conference play, while the Warriors improved to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Warriors took control early, scoring the game's first 10 goals. After scoring seven of the next 10 goals, the Knights pulled themselves within a 13-7 deficit just over five minutes into the second half. It wouldn't be enough as the Warriors closed the game on a 5-1 run.
ARCADIA LEADERS: Senior
Erin Misner led the Knights with five goals, followed by freshman
Shannon Ryan with four points on a goal and three assists.
LYCOMING LEADERS: Kelly McGinniss had a game-high seven points on six goals and an assist. Hailey Kimble recorded six points on five goals and an assist, while Jordan Lazarich scored four goals with an assist for five points.
IN GOAL: Junior
Liz Stierle (5-5) took the loss for Arcadia, allowing 10 goals and making four saves. Nicole Gerling (6-4) took the win for Lycoming, allowing eight goals and making five saves.
