GLENSIDE, Pa. – Senior Amanda Shulski earned a pair of wins against Stevenson in singles and doubles action that helped Arcadia women's tennis to a 6-3 win Saturday on Senior Day. The Knights are seeded fourth in the MAC Commonwealth Championships, marking the first time the program has made the conference tournament since 2009.

FOR THE RECORD:

• The Knights improve to 7-6 and 4-3 in the MAC Commonwealth.
• The Mustangs fall to 7-10 and 4-3 in the conference.

ARCADIA WINNERS:

• The Scarlet and Grey went 2-1 in doubles, highlighted by the 8-5 win by the number two team of Shulski and sophomore Casey Boldt.
• The duo of freshman Emily Cruz-Pineda and sophomore Maeghan Myers picked up a 9-7 win in number three doubles.
• Arcadia won singles action 4-2. Shulski dropped the first set 4-6, but then won the next two sets 6-1, 6-2.
• Junior Zoe Foglia won her set 6-4, 6-3.
• Freshman Tess Weber came away with 6-2, 6-3 wins in her set.
• Cruz-Pineda picked up 6-4 , 6-2 wins in her set.

CLOSE CALLS:

• The Knights number one doubles team of Foglia and Weber lost a squeaker 9-8.
• Boldt lost in singles 6-3, 1-6 and 4-6.
• Myers fell in singles 6-1 and 6-0.

UP NEXT:

• The Knights play against No. 1 Messiah Tuesday in the MAC Commonwealth Championships. The match is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start time.
