RADNOR, Pa. -- Arcadia's women's soccer team made the most of an own goal by Cabrini in a 2-1 win over the Cavaliers on Tuesday evening.
Â
The Knights (4-0-1) remained unbeaten on the season while Cabrini fell to 2-2-0.
Â
The Cavaliers scored the lone goal of the first half, taking a 1-0 lead when Maddy Wojton took advantage of an AU misplay in the back and slipped a shot past
Gabby Green in the 23rd minute.
Â
The Cabrini lead stood through the break until the Knights benefited from a misplay by Cabrini and tied the match at 1-1 on an own goal in the 53rd minute. The deadlock was short lived, however, as just under five minutes later
Amanda McHugh scored off a corner from
Stephanie Maggio from just inside the box for a 2-1 lead.
Â
The lead was never truly threatened as Cabrini logged just one shot the entirety of the second half, and it wasn't even on frame. Â
Â
IN GOAL: Green started and played the first half before giving way to
Brianna Williams in the 52nd minute. Green allowed one goal and did not make a save, while Williams played 38:27 and made one save without a goal against. Ashley Tutzauer playe all 90:00 for the Cavaliers and made four saves with two goals allowed.Â
Â
