GLENSIDE, Pa. - Arcadia University senior guard
Taylor Dunn reached the 1,000 career points plateau Tuesday night in the Knights' 73-65 MAC Commonwealth victory over Lebanon Valley, as Dunn finished the night with a game-high 27 points after entering the game needing only nine to reach the career milestone. Dunn was also a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line in the effort to lead Arcadia to its third-straight MAC Commonwealth win, a game in which the Knights led for all but 29 seconds of.
Sydney Cyr and
Holly Daveski also reached double-figures in scoring to pace the Knights' offensive attack with 13 an 11 points, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Cyr and Daveski combined for nine points in the first 2:32 to get the Knights off to a quick start in the opening quarter, as Daveski ultimately finished the first a perfect 4-for-4 from the field as Arcadia took a 21-13 lead into the second quarter.
-Lebanon Valley opened the second quarter on a 7-1 run to make it a one-possession game before cutting the deficit to one with 1:37 remaining in the half, but a Dunn jumper in the paint in the final seconds of the opening half - marking her 1,000th career point - sent the Knights to halftime with a five-point lead.
-Arcadia held the Dutchmen scoreless over the final 3:45 of the third quarter to extend its lead to ten heading into the final ten minutes of regulation, as Dunn continued to pace the Knight offense with a game-high 16 points at the time. The Knights continued to keep the pressure on in the final quarter - leading by as many as a game-high 11 - before cruising to the eight-point victory, Arcadia's third-straight in conference play.

-Arcadia finished the night at 78.8 percent (26-33) from the free throw line. The Knights converted on 15-of-17 (88.2%) in the fourth quarter down the stretch to put the game away.
-The Knights held Lebanon Valley without a three-pointer Tuesday night.
