READING, Pa. -- The Arcadia women's basketball team completed the regular season sweep of Alvernia with a 60-43 win over the Golden Wolves on Wednesday night.

The Knights, who entered the day in a three-way tie for fifth in the MAC Commonwealth, improved to 9-13 overall and 6-7 in league play. The Golden Wolves now stand at 3-20 on the season and 1-14 in the league.

Taylor Dunn led the Knights with 19 points on 7 of 11 shooting, including 4 of 7 from long range. She added five assists.
Julia Makowski scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out four assists.
Camille Menns chipped in six points and seven rebounds, and
Taylor Fritz and
Jamie Manzo scored eight points apiece.

Arcadia used a 10-0 run to start the game and never looked back. Menns and
Sydney Cyr opened the scoring with layups, and Makowski and Dunn capped the run with back-to-back triples. The Golden Wolves cut their deficit to five points, but AU took a 19-12 lead after one

In the second quarter, the Golden Wolves once again pulled to within five (25-20), but an 8-0 run over the final 5:11 of the first half gave the Knights a 33-20 lead at the break. Dunn scored 12 of her 19 in the first half.

The Knights' lead reached as many as 26 points in the second half, and Arcadia held Alvernia to 7 of 27 shooting over the final 20 minutes. For the game, the Knights shot a shade under 40.0 percent, checking in at 38.9 percent on 21 of 54 shooting from the floor. The Scarlet & Grey also shot 13 of 16 (.813) from the line. Alvernia was 16 of 49 from the floor, including 0 for 7 from deep, and committed 19 turnovers.

Maya Cooper led the Golden Wolves with 12 points. Torie Zerbe added 10 points and six rebounds.
