GLENSIDE, Pa. -- The Arcadia women's lacrosse team dropped its conference opener to Albright 13-2 on Wednesday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.

The Lions improved to 7-2 on the season and 1-0 in league play, while the Knights fell to 0-8 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.

Julia Imbert scored her 10th and 11th goals of the season to move into the team lead with 14 points on the season.
Kirsten Pedicone had four caused turnovers and a ground ball to lead the defense.
Veandra Selby started in the cage and made 10 saves while coming up with a team-best four ground balls.

The Lions opened with nine goals in the first half, taking a 9-0 lead into the break. Albright's lead grew to 11-0 with two goals less than two minutes into the second half. Imbert got the Knights on the board in the 26th minute to make it 11-1, but Albright maintained its 10-goal cushion with two more goals for a 13-1 lead with 19:07 left. Imbert capped the scoring with 3:52 to play.

Albright took 29 shots to 17 for the Knights, and held a 23-9 edge in shots on goal. Ground balls were relatively even at 19-16 in favor of the Lions, and Albright won 10 draw controls to seven for AU.

Kelly Baumann led the Lions with six points on two goals and four assists. She also won five draw controls, caused three turnovers and picked up four ground balls. Lauren China scored four times, and Terae Mason made six saves against one goal allowed in 45:02 in the cage.
