GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's lacrosse team fell to Messiah, 17-7 at home Wednesday afternoon. With the defeat, the Knights slip to 1-10 on the season and 1-3 in the MACC, as Messiah improves to 3-10 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Falcons opened with a 2-0 lead exactly three minutes into the game before the Knights responded with an unassisted goal by Imbert at 21:08. Messiah then ran off four straight scores to take a 6-1 advantage at the 5:24 mark. Both sides traded goals to end the first half with Hannah McAllister rattling the back of the cage at 2:10 for AU's second tally. The Falcons were able to squeeze in a score with :38 seconds remaining, taking a 7-2 lead into the half.

The Scarlet & Grey came out firing in the second half scoring with goals from Ferlow and Imbert to cut the deficit to 7-4. Messiah, however, scored four of the next five goals to take a 11-5 lead at the 12:55 mark. Giovanna Raspanti halted the run with a tally at 10:37 to make the score 11-6. Another four goal outburst from the Falcons extended its lead to 15-6 with 3:31 left in the game. Nicole Kress scored the Knights' final goal with 1:49 remaining before Messiah scored two more for good measure to assure the 17-7 victory.

McKenna Edwards tallied six goals to lead the Falcons' offense. Jamie Bishop and Abigail Evans chipped in three goals apiece. Annika Johnsen had four ground balls and five draw controls. Three others recorded three draw controls as well.
