Field Hockey Wins Fifth-Straight at Home, Clinches Fourth Seed in MAC Freedom Championship Tournament

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University field hockey team wrapped up its conference schedule with a 7-0 win over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday night. The Knights finished their conference schedule with a 5-2 mark and captured their fifth-straight home victory. Arcadia will enter the MAC Freedom Championship Tournament as the fourth seed.

The Knights offense exploded for seven goals from six different players. Carly Flickinger led the way with two goals, while Morgan McEntire, Morganne Dee, Mickie March, Ashlyn Barton and Kayla Serafin all added one score. Gracie Fenner also recorded her sixth shutout of the season with two saves on four shots faced.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- McEntire opened the scoring with a penalty stroke in the 18th minute. The first-year beat the Aggies goalie to the right side of the cage for her third goal of the season. Moments later, Dee added another tally when she tipped the ball into the back of the cage through traffic for her team-leading 13th goal of the season.

- March added another insurance goal before halftime with a score in the 29th minute. Autumn Gahman played the ball to Dee, who deflected a pass to March on the far side of the cage. The senior connected on the one-timer for her fifth goal of the season.

- Flickinger added the Knights fourth goal on a deflection. Following a corner attempt, Gahman played the ball to McEntire, who fired a shot towards the cage, which was deflected into the goal by Flickinger. The senior then tallied another score minutes later off an assist across the box from March to put the Knights ahead 5-0.

- Barton expanded the Knights lead to six scores with her second goal of the season. The first-year snuck the ball past the goaltender after the Knights created traffic in front of the net. Moments later, Serafin added on one more with an assist from Flickinger, 7-0.
