Men’s Basketball’s Comeback Falls Short Versus Susquehanna

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team dropped its second-straight when they fell to Susquehanna University, 82-66, on Tuesday night.

Justin Money led the Knights with 17 points, while Jalen Watkins added 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench. DJ Gardner and Samuel Majekodunmi also scored in double-figures with 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The River Hawks opened the game on a 9-3 run, which prompted an early timeout for Arcadia. Following the timeout, Tre Diguglielmo fed the ball to Jared Chambliss in the post, who laid it in for a much-needed, two-point bucket. Moments later, Majekodunmi hit a contested foul line jumper to pull the Knights within five points, 12-7.

- Dom Vazquez drained a corner three to pull the Knights within one point following dribble penetration from Money after he broke Susquehanna's full court press. However, the River Hawks answered with a 14-2 run to take a 29-16 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first half. Susquehanna ended the half with a 40-23 lead over the Knights.

- Money drove to the lane and converted on a tough three-point play. The Knights then got a pair of buckets from Vazquez and Watkins, 50-32, with 16 minutes left in regulation. Later in the half, Money drained a three-pointer from the top off the key to cut the team's deficit to 16 points, 58-42.

- Arcadia pulled within 12 points, 60-48, with 10 minutes remaining in regulation. The Knights defense forced a turnover at the other end of the floor, while Vazquez fed the ball to Majekodunmi for a layup on the offensive end. Moments later, Gardner hit a corner three to trim Arcadia's deficit to 11 points, 65-54. Arcadia was able to pull within 10 points with four minutes remaining, but were unable to cut into Susquehanna's early lead.
