Men's Basketball Picks Up Second-Straight Conference Win versus Wilkes

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team won its second-straight conference matchup with a victory over Wilkes University, 67-62, on Saturday night.

Samuel Majekodunmi, Justin Money and JoHaan Vinson each recorded double figures in scoring for the Knights. Majekodunmi led the trio with 11 points, while Money and Vinson each had 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing by as many as seven points early in the opening half, the Knights took the lead with seven unanswered points with 10:32 left in the half, 17-16. Money opened the rally with a three-pointer, while Dom Vazquez and Cole Walker added back-to-back buckets.

- Moments later, the Knights took their biggest lead of the half at seven points. Vazquez broke a tie with a layup, then Shayne Rechner drained a three-pointer to pull ahead by five points. Majekodunmi then capped off the Knights rally with a jumper to take a 28-21 advantage.

- With both teams tied at the half, Wilkes opened the second with four-unanswered points. However, the Knights quickly regained control with a Vinson three-pointer and a Jalen Watkins layup, 39-38.

- The Knights finished strong in a tightly-contested second half. After four-straight Colonels' points cut the Knights lead to one possession, Nas Johnson provided Arcadia with a much-needed three-pointer as he drained a heavily-contested long ball as time expired on the shot clock. Johnson's big shot propelled the Knights to a narrow victory after Vinson closed out the game with a pair of free throws.
