Men's Basketball Falters in Second Half at DeSales, Falls 61-52

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball program fell victim to a second-half DeSales run Saturday in MAC Freedom play, falling to the host Bulldogs, 61-52. Samuel Majekodunmi and Justin Money both went for a team-high 16 points in the effort, while Nas Johnson also scored in double-figures with ten points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights and Bulldogs stayed stride-for-stride with each other in the opening minutes of the first half. Back-to-back jumpers from Justin Money followed by a Nas Johnson field goal in the paint staked the Knights to a three-point lead, but DeSales battled back to draw the two sides even at 21 with 2:31 remaining. Samuel Majekodunmi drained a three on the very next posession and both sides remained scoreless the rest of the way as Arcadia took a 24-21 lead into the break.

-DeSales went on an 8-0 run early in the second half to erase the deficit and jump out to a six-point lead before Money's three brought the run to an end and cut the Bulldog lead to three. Despite Arcadia's advances, the Bulldogs took off on a 14-5 run in the moments that followed to take a 12-point lead with just under ten minutes remaining in regulation. Majekodunmi did his best to keep the Knights in contention down the stretch with eight points of his own in the final nine-plus minutes, but ultimately wasn't enough in the 61-52 loss.
