Acker, Covert, Morris Net Hat Tricks; Women's Lacrosse Cruises to MAC Freedom Victory at Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Skylar Acker, Emily Covert, and Sarah Morris all posted their first career hat tricks to lead the Arcadia University women's lacrosse team to a 20-1 victory over Delaware Valley in MAC Freedom play Wednesday night. The Knights had nine different goal-scorers in the effort and Mackenzie Hoffman posted a game-high five points with two goals and three assists.

Arcadia held the Aggies off the board for the final 46 minutes of the matchup while allowing only two shots on goal in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Giovanna Raspanti got the Knights' attack unit out to a fast start by scoring the first two goals of the game within the first five-plus minutes, the first of which came on an assist from Hoffman. Acker netted Arcadia's third goal of the night just over three minutes later before Alex Arena found the back of the net to extend the scoring run to four to open the game.

-The Aggies interrupted the Knights' run with their first goal of the game at the 16-minute mark of the half, but a seven-goal Arcadia run to the end of the half resulted in a ten-goal lead at the break. Michaela Ferlow and Hannah McAllister each found the back of the net twice while Emily Covert and Maddie Ruger scored their first goals of the night during the stretch.

-Arcadia kept the Aggies off the board for the entirety of the second half while finding the back of the net nine more times to set a new single-game, season-high for goals with 20 on the night. Hoffman started the second-half scoring with her first of two goals in the half to reach a game-high five points, while Sarah Morris found the back of the net three times in just over an 11-minute span to post the first hat trick of her collegiate career. Acker and Covert both completed their first career hat tricks with goals in the final minutes as the Knights rolled to the 20-1 victory.
