Fourth Quarter Run Downs Downs Women's Basketball at Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. - Leading 46-40 with just under nine minutes left in the game, the Arcadia University women's basketball team finished the contest getting outscored 16-7 as it dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) game 56-53 at Misericordia University on Wednesday evening. Delaney Bell finished with a team-high 12 points while Hanna Rhoades, Dayna Balasa, and Maria Tully each added nine.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neither team established a foothold in the first quarter as the Knights held a 13-12 lead after 10 minutes.

-Misericordia began the second on a 10-1 run, grabbing a 22-14 advantage before Arcadia came back to finish the half on a 13-6 rally, trailing 28-27 heading into the break.

-Arcadia began the third on an  11-5 run taking a 38-33 lead, which held until the end of the quarter with the Knights maintaining a 44-39 advantage going into the final quarter where the Cougars took the game.

INSIDE THE STATS
-Bell missed her season-high for rebounds by one, set against Rutgers-Camden, while notching her second double-double of the year.

-Tully set a new season-high for points, rebounds, assists, and steals.

-Arcadia's bench outscored its opponent's 22-15.

-The Knights' six blocks tied for second-most this season, the third time they have reached that number.

-Arcadia is allowing 49.9 points-per-game, the second stingiest defense in the MAC Freedom.
