EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team opened it Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series with Wilkes University by sweeping both ends of its doubleheader, taking game on 1-0 in nine innings before winning game two 7-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 1, WILKES 0 (NINE INNINGS)

Justin Massielo scored the lone run on an errant pick-off throw to third base

Hunter Curley went the first seven innings on the mound, allowing three hits with one walk and eight strikouts.

Hunter Sibley earned the win with two hitless innings of relief with three strikeouts.

Alex Madera opened the scoring with a two-run double in the top of the second scoring Donchez and Curley.
-Wilkes took the lead in the third with three runs.
-The Knights tied the score in the fifth on a squeeze bunt from Massielo the brought home Madera.
-Obarowski gave Arcadia the lead in the sixth when he tripled and scored on a throwing error.
-After the Colonels tied the score, Massielo again brought home Madera in the seventh.
-The Knights added two more runs in the seventh to finish the scoring.

Nadell Booker earned the win, allowing one run on two hits.
-Sibley earned the save a scoreless seventh.

Zach Steiger started on the mound, allowing three unearned runs on three hits with three strikeouts.
