DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team finished third overall at the Cougar Splash Invitational mid-season meet hosted by Misericordia University on Saturday. The team totaled 247 points on the meet.
Ava Despeaux broke both the 100-yd butterfly and the 200-yd butterfly program records in today's meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200-yd medley relay squad of
Mikayla Scardino, Despeaux,
Olivia Hyde, and
Gigi Brown finished in second place with a time of 1:48.57.
- Despeaux touched the wall first with program record breaking times in both the 100-yd butterfly (59.80) and the 200-yd butterfly (2:13.62). She cut almost two seconds from her previous 100 fly personal best and 8.52 off of her previous 200 fly personal best.
- Scardino finished third in the 100-yd freestyle with a time of 54.70, and fourth in the 100-yd backstroke (1:01.80). Both were season best times.
- Hyde recorded a time of 1:02.64 in the 100-yd butterfly (fourth), and a time of 2:28.90 in the 200-yd butterfly (sixth). She dropped 3.23 seconds off of her previous 100 fly time and 6.87 from her 200 fly time for two new season bests.

Brooke Boyd earned herself a season best time of 1:06.66 in the 100-yd butterfly. She also cut almost 30 seconds off of her 200-yd butterfly time for another season best.

Kylie Perry (2:06.29),
Rylie Pellegrino (2:11.70) and
Maddie Farrelly (2:11.75) each went season bests in the 200-yd freestyle.

Sophia Randle recorded a lifetime best time of 2:09.78 in the 200-yd freestyle, dropping .74 from her 2024 MACs time, and 6.19 from her previous season best.

Juliane Heller finished fourth in the 100-yd breaststroke with a time of 1:11.69, and fifth in the 200-yd breaststroke (2:37.70). She dropped 11.36 off of her previous season best 200 breast time.

Emily Soliman had her collegiate debut in the 100-yd breaststroke (1:40.02).
- Randle also recorded a lifetime best in the 100-yd backstroke with a time of 1:07.20 and
Maggie Dent earned a season best with a time of 1:10.47.
- The 800-yd freestyle relay of Scardino, Hyde,
Katherine Pastva and Perry finished third (8:21.00).
- Perry also recorded a lifetime best in the 1650-yd freestyle (19:12.41) by over 13 seconds.
- Brown earned a personal best time of 55.75 in the 100-yd freestyle.
- Despeaux, Boyd, Brown, and Scardino finished third in the 400-yd freestyle relay (3:46.05).
